My very first blog post! This is so nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time! I hope you enjoy this post about a few fall beauty trends that you can EASILY work into your daily makeup look.
Sometimes the trends seen on the runway feel a bit out of reach for everyday people like me….maybe you have felt that way too? So I took a quick hour while the LO was napping and put three VERY EASY makeup looks together that incorporate some of the trends seen at fall fashion shows. I hope you enjoy – and if you have further questions, please reach out to me! I would love to hear from you.
Look 1 – A touch of silver
Add a fleck of sparkle to your inner corner with a silver or champagne shadow. This elevates your natural look and actually brightens your eyes in one easy step. This look was seen in the Stella McCartney 2016 show (left pic).
I used MAC’s Naked Pigment on my inner corner here which is one of my go-to’s on rushed mornings where I don’t have time to do a ton, but still want to look pulled together and natural.
Look 2 – A Dark Lip
There was a lot of posh-goth looks for fall 2016 seen in several shows and the black lip was everywhere! I have to admit, I envy people who could pull this look off. Hello Kendall Jenner (Dior show)!!! How gorge is she? But sadly, I am not one of those people. So I decided to just switch up my look with a dark, wine colored lip that still makes me feel on-trend, yet isn’t going to get me weird looks when I run to Target with Avalon. But you could try this lip with onyx, bordeaux or even navy if you’re up for the challenge. I kept my eyes very natural to balance out this look so it’s realistic for day-time.
MAC Vino lip pencil and Dark Side lipstick along with clear gloss helped me get this wine colored pout. A bonus when using dark lip colors is that teeth appear whiter than usual! Also, when using dark colors, it’s so helpful to use a lip brush for your application so you can get an accurate and defined look.
Look 3 – Artsy Eyeliner
This look is something I would LOVE to be able to pull off for a date night or a girls night, but I don’t think I have the guts to do it. Maybe for a fun fashion photo shoot or something? Because I do that so often, right? haha Anyways, artsy eyeliner was another look that appeared in several runway shows like Oscar de la Renta and Kenzo. And I decided to translate it to a fun, night out look that anyone could do using some eyeliner and shadow, and of course a pair of good falsies!
I used MAC creme liner with brush 212 and carbon eye shadow along with my one of my fave brushes, 219. I winged the liner just a little and drew into my lower crease line and then blended to give it a little bit of a smokey look since I wasn’t daring enough to go with a stark, artsy line. I wish I was! Maybe someday…
There you have it! Three looks that are easy for ANYONE to do! I would love to see the looks you try – feel free to tag me in pictures where you’ve tried one of these trends.
