Best time to buy Winter Gear

Did you know March is actually the snowiest month of the year in Colorado? So as much as we are all ready for spring, we have some snow days to make it through yet. Not to mention, April is actually the 3rd snowiest month here… (crazy, right?). So don’t pack away that winter gear yet! This also means it’s not too late to invest in some winter gear that you may have wished you bought for this season, but didn’t.

March is one of my favorite months to buy some of my winter wish-list items because they are typically on major sale! It’s funny because I’m buying spring sandals and Easter dresses one day, then clearance winter boots & jackets the next!

March sales are great because it is still cold out but the stores are trying to make room for all the spring & summer items. I got Avalon and myself mommy-and-me Sorel boots on major sale this year. I love this pair of Sorel’s because they aren’t as clunky as my other ones – they feel more like a sneaker than a boot – so it’s easier to slip on for errands on cold, snowy days. But they are still just as warm as my taller, furrier pair. And I could not resist to getting Av matching pair. I bought hers big so that she can hopefully wear them again next year (fingers crossed!). I also got our fleece pullovers on major sale at Gap & Old Navy, again…buying Av a bigger size so she can wear it again next season. Who doesn’t love getting deals?!  I’ve linked some Colorado winter essentials in this post that are all on sale!

Sarah
