DIY Faux Succulent Spring Planters

Why have succulents become so trendy? They are everywhere! I’m not mad about it and actually love the appeal of a low maintenance plant – but even though these beautiful plants claim to be low maintenance – I’m a bigger fan of NO maintenance. haha So I opted for faux succulents to fill some new planters for a tiny spring refresh.

This was a perfect little project to do with Avalon this past weekend. She loved helping me out with getting the succulents trimmed and placed just right using some rocks to fill the planters.

I was sent these adorable & modern concrete planters by Lucid Greens – which are so perfect for any place you need to add some greenery into your decor. They are the perfect size for a bathroom vanity, a kitchen counter, a small entryway shelf – or any other area you might need to fill with simple decor.

I went shopping for faux succulents and some white river rocks and got all the supplies to fill all 4 of these little planters (and then some) for $11!

All I did was trim the succulents stems to fit into these shallow planters and then placed the white rock around them to support/stand them up – SO easy! And Avalon loved helping! It was a super easy activity for her and I to do together.

Do you go real or faux? Tell me! And what do you think of these adorable little concrete planters? I must say, I love the way this project turned out.
