I’ve learned more now than ever how important dating your spouse truly is. As we became a family of four, my attention went completely to the girls since Lo was born. And to be totally honest, until I started taking a little time for myself by going to work out and invest in a little “me” time, I wasn’t even able to think about our marriage on top of everything. Any other moms relate? I hope I’m not alone!
Now that Lo is 6 months old (insert ugly cry face here because time is going too fast), I felt more comfortable leaving her for a few hours so Casey and I could go on a date! And boy was it good for the soul! We chose to do a day date since day time typically is easier than the “witching” hour or evening. And my mom watched both girls for us – the girls love their Nana!
As we left the house, my mom told us to not talk about work or kids – so we took her advice and for the most part, didn’t bring those two topics up. We laughed & reconnected in a way that just felt refreshing and made us both feel young again. It was SO fun! We realized we need to make it more of a priority to do this more than every 6 months!
This outfit is a perfect summertime daytime date outfit! I love an all white look and paired with blue accessories made me feel like I was on vacation. Blue and white has always been one of my fave spring & summer color combos, it sparks happiness for me! Anyone else?
These sandals are everything – so comfy & cute! They go with everything!
