Before I toss all these empty bottles into our recycling bin, I thought I’d snap a quick pic and share my thoughts on each of them. I love hearing from friends about beauty products they have used and liked or didn’t like – so since we are all friends here – I wanted to share some quick reviews with you.
One of my fave pastimes as a blogger is trying new beauty products. I switch around A LOT and typically write about & share my very faves with you. But I decided that this go-around, I just wanted to talk about ALL my empties. It actually felt like I went empty all at the same time with a lot of things (which btw is the worst, right?) So now I’m deciding which ones to move in my repeat purchase category. So read on to find out!
Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse (Medium) // This has been my default self tanner for a few years. I have a few different brands I rotate in between and I always like to have a bottle of this one on-hand. It’s a foam and the color is immediate, which I really love. I also really like that you can apply evenly because you can see it right away – so there is less mystery about “am I getting this blended right?” I just bought another bottle of this today. It always arrives SUPER fast! And the bottle usually lasts me a few months of consistent use. I have used the dark before – but I like the medium for a more natural look, so heading into fall, I’m sticking with the medium. I also really appreciate that it’s a cleaner product with no parabens, no alcohol and organic DHA! So I keep going back for more.
Tan Luxe The Water Hydrating Self Tan Water (Light/Medium) // I bought this in June because I’ve been trying new self tanners out. And I fell in LOVE with it. However, I’m not currently planning to re-purchase for right now and I’ll tell you why. I love being able to put on a tan when I need it (hence the reason I love the immediate color I get from Loving Tan), sometimes I don’t always have the time for advance planning to apply this product and let the tan develop for 7 – 8 hours. BUT…I love the color this one gives. It’s so natural looking, and it DOES NOT transfer at all guys! Like at all! It goes on clear, so if you’re not a self tanning pro, it might be tricky to get an even application. If I was in a hurry using this one, I definitely noticed that my application wasn’t as blended and even. But this product has benefits that are sometimes necessary! I also really loved how hydrating this water was – it felt nice going on, wasn’t sticky after you let it dry and a tan nicely develops overnight. So lots of good things to say about this, but for now, it’s not a repeat purchase just because sometimes I need/want a tan immediately upon applying a self tanner.
Billie Shave Cream // I am obsessed with everything billie – if you missed my review on the billie razor – click HERE. I added the shave cream to my order on a whim and I’m so glad I did – shaving with this shave cream makes ALL the difference in the world. I won’t go back! I actually added their body wash to my next shipment because I loved this shave cream so much. So I’m excited to get my new bottle of shave cream and try out the body wash too! Can’t recommend this stuff enough.
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydrating Cream // I got a deluxe sample from Sephora of this super hydrating cream and I really, really liked it a lot. Obviously I’ve talked about how important vitamin C is for your skin, so this is a great cream to try if you need to add vit. c into your routine. I would definitely re-purchase this cream in the full size, but there are a few other products I’ve been eyeing to try – so I do recommend this cream, it’s just not on my repeat list for right now.
Anastasia Brow Wiz (Taupe) // I keep going back to this brow pencil – I think I bought two last time I purchased because they were on sale. I love how thin the pencil is for precise brush strokes, and it glides on perfectly. I love this color too!
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil Refill // If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ll probably recall me mentioning this product a few times. I literally cannot live without this stuff. It’s AAHHHHMAZING! Several years ago, I had horrible eczema and I really believe this stuff helped heal my skin and I just can’t go without it now. It smells OH SO GOOD! And it’s so hydrating – I love shower oil and this one in particular. So I need to run to L’Occitane to grab a big refill bag – I also love the manager at the Park Meadows L’Occitane store (if you’re in Colorado). He is always so friendly to me and the girls when we stop in.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water // I had been buying pricier micellar water (and there are a few I love – like Caudalie espeically) but I wanted to see if I noticed any difference in using a budget friendly version like Garnier. And I am happy to report, I re-bought a bottle of this one last week at Target. Again, I appreciate that this one doesn’t have fragrance, parabens, sulfates or oil/silicone in it. So for the price, you can’t beat this! I like having micellar water around to either use to remove makeup before washing my face or as a morning refresh when I don’t necessarily need a full face wash. It’s so gentle on skin and super easy to use.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 // I bought this at the Sephora sale this year and FELL IN LOVE you guys!!! If you’re wanting to see a major transformation with your hair, buy this. It’s a treatment you use before you shampoo/condition. And your hair will feel so soft, smooth and will behave perfectly. It’s a tiny bottle – I think I got 4 treatments out of this, but it’s OH SO WORTH IT! If you want to buy anything on this list today – make this the one. It’s so good!
Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate // I would definitely buy this product again – the fact that it has 12.5% Vitamin C concentrate and also has hyaluronic acid in it makes it an uber powerful product. I really do like the way this makes my skin feel. But I do like a heavier cream for nighttime…so I would often apply this and then put another night cream on top to layer it. This product gave me some tingles, which I actually really like because that makes me feel like it’s doing something powerful and reaching a deeper level of effectiveness. I felt like my skin was more supple when using this, more even and overall – just in good shape. Highly recommend!
